Notice of Award
Armor Designs Inc., (AIM:ADID), the knowledge-based designer and manufacturer of composite armour products, is pleased to announce that it has received Notice of Award, from a major aircraft manufacturer, of a forthcoming subcontract to provide armour products for aircraft used by the U.S. Department of Defense.
The information shared during the supplier kick-off briefing, confirmed the manufacturer has received notification of contract extension from 2014 to 2028. The funds appropriated for this legacy program are to be used for the manufacturing of new aircraft, aircraft upgrades, and retrofitting of the current legacy fleet. The Department of Defense has accepted the initial program budgets and has adjusted the start date to June 2014.
The Company has resubmitted their contract proposal to reflect the adjusted timeline to accommodate for the new start date. The Company's USD $19 million budget for new aircraft components and up to USD $19 million for replacement components remains unchanged. The proposal calls for the Company to provide both manufacturing and production engineering services throughout the life of the contract. The Company expects the signed subcontract sometime before the end of June 2014.
